MV Capacitors – Medium Voltage

Product overview
Medium-Voltage (MV) Power Capacitor is designed for reactive power compensation and power-factor improvement in industrial and utility electrical networks. It is manufactured using high-quality polypropylene (PP/BOPP) film as the dielectric and aluminium foil as the electrode. Multiple capacitor elements are assembled in series and parallel configurations to achieve the required voltage and kVAr ratings.
The capacitor is impregnated with capacitor-grade PXE oil or another specified insulating impregnant and housed in a robust MS steel or stainless-steel enclosure. Depending on the design, internal or external fuses and built-in discharge resistors are provided for protection and safe discharge after isolation. Porcelain bushings provide electrical insulation and reliable terminal connections.
The design focuses on low dielectric losses, stable electrical performance, reliable operation and long service life. It is suitable for fixed or automatic power-factor correction installations in industrial plants, commercial facilities and utility networks.
